History
of Webster Gears Inc.

|
Originally
formed as Webster Racing Ent.in 1968 by T.M. " Web" Webster his son
Marv Webster and Michael Ruckman to build replacement gears and parts
for the Mark Series Hewland Transaxles. The Business was incorporated
as Webster Gears in 1976. In the 1970's replacement gear sets for the
LG transaxle were produced.
"Web" retired in early 1980 and pased away later that year. Since 1980 the emphasis has been to produce gears and parts for the Mark series transaxles and, producing the Formula Mazda Transaxle since 1984. Also Staffs and LD 200 gear sets and some parts for them were added to the product line. We have been at the same location from the start of our business in a building of 10,000 square feet. Over the years our capabilities have been upgraded so that we are capable of performing all facets of the manufacturing process in-house, except for Heat Treating and producing raw castings. With the unfortunate demise of Marv Webster in April 1999 the business has been continued by Mike Ruckman, and the production staff of Mark Nadell and Ron Hackney representing over 40 years of practical experience manufacturing transaxles and gearbox components. |
